Booking a place to stay in Los Cabos can be a little unnerving. Even if you weren't staying in a foreign country, you'd still want to know the policies before signing a rental agreement. At Lifestyle Villas, we make it easy, with nice color pictures of our villas, as well as information on everything you need to know about the property and the area you'll be staying. Check out some of our most commonly asked questions about our villa rentals below.

1. What is the maximum occupancy per villa? 

A: The maximum occupancy for a specific villa is 2 more than the number specified in villa features. An additional cost per extra person applies.

2. Is there an additional charge for an extra person? Extra bed? Crib? High Chair? Baby Car Seat? 

A: If the villa occupancy is exceeded, there will be an extra charge of $75 USD per person, per night. No more than 2 additional persons is allowed. There are no extra charges for an extra bed, a crib, a high chair or a baby car seat.

3. Do you provide driving directions for the villas? 

A: Yes, please contact your Destination Specialist for driving directions to your specific villa.

4. Do you offer handicapped facilities? 

A: Yes, Casa Stamm has recently been remodeled in order to accommodate the special needs of our handicapped guests.

5. Is there wireless internet in the villa? 

A: Yes, every villa is equipped with a high-speed internet connection.

6. Is the pool in the villa heated? 

A: Yes, our villa pools are heated.

7. Can I have a cook in the villa? 

A: Yes, we offer cook and chef services upon request.

8. Are there safes in the villas? 

A: Yes, there are safes in the both master & junior bedrooms. Your concierge will indicate the box location and instructions at check-in.

9. Is there a first aid kit in the house? 

A: Yes, each villa has a first aid kit located in the kitchen.

10. Can I plug my iPod into the sound system? 

A: Yes, you can plug your device into the home's sound system.

11. Does the house have table games? 

A: Yes it does.

12. Are pets allowed in the villas? 

A: Casa Stamm is our pet-friendly villa. Unfortunately, pets are not allowed in any of the other villas.

13. Is the beach safe for swimming? 

A: The majority of our villas are located on swimmable beaches. However, this can vary by season, so please confirm with your personal concierge at check-in.

14. Do you offer long-term rentals?

15. Can your villas be rented out for special events? 

A: Yes, we have several villas that are suitable for events including:

• Villa La Roca
• Villa Serena
• Casa Stamm
• Villa Agave Azul
• Casa Bella
• Casa Tortuga

16. What are the restrictions and policies related to special events? 

A: Each villa has different policies regarding amplified music, fireworks, etc. and should be followed as indicated in the rental agreement. Basic policies include: 

• 2 Nights minimum stay.
• All vendors involved with the function must be approved by Lifestyle Villas.
• All flatware, china, dishes and glassware for the wedding, party or function must be rented or provided by your cater and must also do all cleanup after the event.
• An advanced deposit (50%) is due at the moment of signing the Rental Agreement.
• Final Payment (50%) is due 60 days prior to the arrival date.
• Security deposit is equal to one night rent, refundable 1-2 weeks.
• Any changes or cancellations made less than 45 days prior to the arrival date are refundable if the villa is re-rented, subject to a 10% administration fee.
• Parking and road space limited. Please arrange shuttle services.

17. What is the maximum number of guests per event? 

A: The number varies according to the dimensions of the villa, but cannot exceed 80 guests. 

18. Can we use our wedding coordinator and their services in your villa? 

A: Yes you may. 

19. What is the distance from the villa to nightlife, shopping and the airport? 

A: Nightlife & shopping is about 10-20 minutes driving distance from the villas. From Medano Beach, nightlife and shopping is within walking distance. The airport is about 30-60 minutes driving distance from the villas.

9 International Travel Tips

Traveling can be a lot of fun, but it requires preparation and planning. Even if you travel a lot within the States, traveling internationally is a whole different story. Here are a few tips to keep in mind if you're planning to leave the country anytime soon:

1. Make Sure Your Passport Isn't Expired. 

While passports are good for quite a few years, if you haven't traveled in a couple years, you may want to check the date on it. Also, even if it's still valid, some countries won't let you enter if it's expiration date is within 6 months.

2. Notify Your Bank You'll Be Traveling. 

Credit card fraud is increasingly becoming an issue, so be sure to notify your bank before you leave the country. Chances are if you don't, they will freeze your account until you can contact them and confirm the international charges. This could leave you stuck in a foreign place with no money - which would not be good!

3. Take Medicine With You. 

While you may not take prescription medicine daily, you should plan to carry some basic pain relievers, such as Tylenol, Advil, Tums, etc. with you. While there will probably be a drugstore somewhere, you don't want to be hunting it down while you're not feeling well. Plus, depending on where you're traveling you may have issues translating to the pharmacist what you're looking for.

4. Turn Off Data Roaming On Your Cell. 

Cellphone companies can really get you with those international charges. Many businesses will have an international calling and data plan, but infrequent travelers don't. Be sure to set up your phone to avoid international data roaming. While international calling and texts can add charges to your bill, the biggest cost comes from transmitting data overseas. 

5. Convert Money In A Bank Or Local ATM. 

The currency conversion counters at airports, train stations, etc. can be a big rip-off. They know that you need local currency, so they won't give you the best conversion rates or they'll charge you extra fees. It's also a good idea to go ahead and order some foreign currency from your local American bank well before time to leave for your international destination.

6. Always Have Local Cash. 

In America, you can almost always count on paying with your credit card. In fact, many people have stopped carrying cash on them completely. However, in a foreign country you can't be dependent on that little piece of plastic. Make sure that you have enough local currency on you to make purchases as places that don't accept cards.

7. Pack Extra Clothes In Your Carry-On. 

You've heard stories about airlines losing people's luggage, but you think oh, that won't happen to me. Well, what if it does? It's better to be prepared by having an extra set of clothes with you in your carry-on. You don't want to be stuck wearing whatever you can find at the airport or nearest local store.

8. Research Things To Do Before Leaving.

9. Bring Snacks With You. 

Airport food can be expensive and sometimes finding foreign food that you like can be difficult. Be sure to have some snacks on hand to hold you over until you get settled in at your Los Cabos villa and can find the perfect restaurant or grocery store.

Expanded Air Connectivity Between Los Cabos and the US

Once again, Los Cabos attracts the spotlight on the international stage and ranks among the most popular vacation destinations on the world tourism map. Now vacationers have an even better way of traveling to the Baja California Peninsula. The US low-cost carrier, Spirit Airlines now has a flight from Houston to Los Cabos.

On Saturday, 100 passengers arrived at the International Airport of San José del Cabo and were pleased with the customer service given to them by the members of the Los Cabos Tourism Board. Reception drinks and welcome bags were delivered to each passenger while on the flight. The flight crew, captain and co-pilot were also given a special gift as a welcome from this inaugural flight.

Executives of Spirit Airlines confirmed that the team will be covering this route with an Airbus 320, holding a capacity of 178 passengers. They willl offer two flights per week on Saturday and Wednesday. They also reported that as of June 11, the frequency of flights will increase to three per week. This is thanks to the support of the Pacific Airport Group, which benefits the entire tourism sector of the destination.

The Committee of Flights in Los Cabos, grouped with the Airport Pacific Group, the Tourism Trust of Los Cabos, State Secretary of Tourism, the Association of Hotels of Los Cabos and Timeshare Association have expressed confidence in continuing to work in coordination on issues of air connectivity, seeking to reinforce and increase the number of frequencies and routes to Los Cabos.

It is noteworthy that Los Cabos is one of the main tourist destinations in Latin America, especially for tourists looking for a luxury vacation experience in Mexico and high quality tourism that specializes in certain segments such as sports tourism, golf, fishing and water, among others.
