7. Eat Local Food.

If you're traveling with others, order different things off the menu and let each other try them. Ask the locals for recommendations on what the best menu options are and be sure to try the street food from vendors. Don't be scared to try new foods - you may surprise yourself and find a new favorite dish!
8. Be Impulsive.
While it's good to have a few things planned out that you want to do while on vacation, don't plan too much. It's also fun to wander into the unknown. Don't be afraid to get lost on purpose, you never know what you might find. Be impulsive and say yes when someone invites you to try something new. It's these unexpected and unplanned situations that add spice to your travels and always turn into the best stories later.
